The height of the completed unit differswith the height of the table stand. Do not apply an unreasonable force to the sewingmachine when it is in the raised position. In the case the table thickness exceeds 60 mm, the length ofthe bolts supplied with the unit as accessories is adequate. Lift the sewing machine head with four or more people byholding the sections marked with dotted circle as shown in the figure. Do not hold the underside of hinge stopper and bottomcover. Remove machine head fixing bolts 8. Insert a bolt 3, a washer 4 and a boltrubber 5 from the rght front sde of the sewing machine, andtemporarily fix them wth a bolt rubber 5 a washer 4, a packng 7 andtwo nuts 6. Be sure to raise the sewing machine to the fourth step of thehnge stopper. Fx the sewng machne wth remanng three bolts 3, sx washers 4, sxbolt rubbers 5, three packngs 7 and sx nuts 6. Remove bolt 3 and two nuts 6 which have been used fortemporarily fixing. Attach bolt 3 and two nuts 6 removed in the above step ofprocedure in the reverse direction and fix them. Fix bolt 3 and nuts 6 in such a state that bolt rubber 5 isslightly squeezed. Whenever you move the sewing machine,be sure to install the head fixing bolt in place. If you find the sewing machine is too heavy to lift, the gasspring may have malfunctioned due to outgassing. Never lift the sewing machine in such a state since the machinecan drop to pinch hands, fingers and arms resulting in seriousinjury. Be sure to hold the sewing machine by the ribslocated on the front side of the bed. Be sure to securely fix thesewing machine in the raised position by locking the hingestopper. Do hole hold any part other than the ribs located on thefront side of the bed. At ths tme, do not hold feed base 2 and feed gude shaft 8. Check to be sure that hinge stopper 6 s locked by supportshaft 7. To raise the sewing machine to the 1st to 3rd steps of thehnge stopper, hold rbs 1 and 1 located on the front sde of the bedwth your both hands to slowly lift it to the required step of thehnge stopper. Then, slowly lft the sewngmachne. Be sure to take yourhands off the hinge stopper. Do not hold feed base 2 and feed guide shaft 8. To return the sewing machine to its home position, fi rstlycheck to be sure that there is no tool such as a screwdriver insidethe bottom cover. Hold rib 1 located on the front sde of the bed wth your rghthand to slghtly lft the sewng machne. Take your left hand off the stopper section. Whilesupporting ribs 1 and 1 located on the front sde of the bed wthyour both hands, lower the sewng machne further. At its each step, the hinge stopper is locked to secure thesewing machine at the corresponding height. Then, hold the handle ofthe hnge stopper wth your left hand to release the lock and slowlylower the sewng machne. The sewing machine is stopped again at the fi nal step ofits lowering for the sake of safety. Place the sewing machine in itshome position. Fix operation panel installing plate 1 on the table at adesired location near its right end with four wood screws 2. Put the cable of operation panel 5 through hole 4 in thetable. Woodscrew2 has thenominaldiameterof 3. Drive spring pin 7 of bottom cover 5 into bottom cover 5until it is almost flush filexlib.
